Downgrade Vista To XP

Good News!  If you're running Vista and would like to go back to XP, you may be in luck.  Check the version of Vista on your system and see if it's Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.  If it is, Microsoft will allow you to downgrade to XP for free!  For those running Vista Home Basic or Premium, you're SOL.

Installing Office 2003 or 2007 On More Than One PC

Do you own a copy of Office 2003 or 2007?  If you have the actual disk than you can legally install either version on your desktop and a laptop for no additional fee. If Office came bundled with your new computer than you may not be so lucky.  As far as I know, bundled software (software that came on your new PC) does not allow two installs.  NOTE:  Not all versions allow you to install the same copy on a desktop and a laptop so be sure to read the "End User License Agreement"  aka: EULA

Windows Update or Microsoft Update

Windows Update will keep your system current as far as "Critical Updates" are concerned but if you have other Microsoft Products on your system, such as Office or Outlook, etc, than Microsoft Update is the place you need to go.  This will keep all your Microsoft software up to date.  To make the change, just go to Windows Update and click the button to make the change to Microsoft Update.

System Locked Up Tight

Is your computer locked up so tight that you can't even shut it down?  Well here's a simple thing you can do.  Simply hold the power button in until the system shuts down.  Wait a few seconds and power it back up.
